Type Locality and Naming

Along the city of Temirchi, Prishashkent Chulys G.A. Belenky, 1966 (96, p.110). Stratotype in the area of the city of Temirchi, 5 km east of the Dzhilga railway station. Previously, this suite was called the upper Darbazinskaya subsuite (298).

Synonym: Temirchinskaya Suite, upper Darbazinskaya, Темирчинская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Clays, sandstones, siltstone (aleurolites) red, pink, green, spotted. Thickness 16-65 m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Overlies with erosion on the Darbaza Fm

Upper contact

It is overlapped transgressively by the Paleocene.

Regional extent

Prishashkent Chulys, in the Tashkent depression, revealed by drilling.
